April 12, 2007 - Wow, its been such a long time since the last update. Here are the news:

Pocket Kings I will not enter T33 since we have such few players able to play.

Pocket Kings II is registered for T33 under the enthusiastic leadership of MaunaKeaMike. I am sure we all wish them the best of luck and hopefully will advance to the finals.

Feb 2 - Update: Both Pocket Kings I and Pocket Kings II lost their individual matches. All the games are now scheduled for Round 3 and I wish good luck to all players playing this round. Interestingly, both teams had the same result this round, one win, one draw and two loses.

Jan 13 - Team 32 starts Tuesday Jan 16, Captains are sending e-mails asking players if they can actually play next week to post lineup. Good luck everyone and good chess!

Note: If you have not played your games for the Pocket Kings invitational by midnight Sunday, you will forfeit the game. If you played all your games (there were only 3 games) then congratulations!, know that not all players finished all their games.

Jan 4 - Update: Pocket Kings II is registered for Team 4545 T32.

Jan 4 - Pocket Kings I was entered into T32 of Team 4545 playing in the U2000 section.

Jan 2 - Happy New Year!. Manzeer-Lyko played and posted.

The teams are being re-arranged because Team4545 uses the average rating of the top 4 players to calculate the rating instead of the average of all the players which is what I was using. I am waiting for some players to sign up in the Team 45 45 website to enter the teams. I will arrange the players the best way I can to maximize the average rating without going over.

I need a organizer for the U1600 team, send me a message if you are interested.

Decided to start a practice Quad before T32

Pocket Kings

The Pocket Kings Chess team was formed to play in the T32 tournament of Team4545. Team4545 is moving servers and the going has been slow. Given the fact that there are a lot of chess players willing to play at longer time controls, we decided to start a practice quad before T32. This is a TEAM based Quad just like it would be in Team4545. Each team consists of 4 members.

The time control: This is for training while we wait for Team4545  T32 tournament. The game has to be 45 45.
